12 providers with a published check sell sermorelin you take by mouth, and this page grades them on that form alone. Some list more than one: 5 list a dissolving tablet, 4 a lozenge (troche), 4 a sublingual form and 1 a tablet.
They differ more in the name than in the idea. A troche or lozenge is held in the mouth while it dissolves, a sublingual tablet sits under the tongue, and an orally dissolving tablet dissolves in the mouth. Each is made by a compounding pharmacy, not by a drug company.
1 of the 12 doesn't list an injection at all. For the rest, the oral form is one option beside a shot, and the cost section below sets the two side by side.
The cited literature searches did not identify an eligible human treatment study of oral, sublingual or troche sermorelin. An unrelated falsified-medicine report does not establish absorption or growth-hormone effects. Search results are evidence limits, not proof that no study could exist.
There is a known reason for doubt. Peptide drugs usually have to be injected, because enzymes and the gut lining break them down or keep them out. The few oral peptides on the market needed special formulations to get past that. Nothing published shows a compounded troche does.
Some pages point to growth-hormone boosters that do work as pills. Those are small peptides built for the purpose, such as GHRP-6, with 6 amino acids. Sermorelin has 29, and a result for one tells you nothing about the other. Do sermorelin tablets work? has the full search and the form-by-form table.
A nasal spray, which some of these providers also sell, isn't on this page. It is the one non-injected route that was tested, in the 1990s. In 30 healthy men only 3 to 5% of a nasal dose reached the blood compared with an IV dose, and in 8 children the response faded over months.
"No study found" isn't proof that a troche does nothing. It means a provider selling one is selling a form with no human data.
The only approved sermorelin, Geref, was an injection, and its approvals ended in 2009 at the maker's request. Every troche and tablet on this page is compounded. FDA doesn't review a compounded product's safety, effectiveness or quality before it's sold, and no FDA label exists to set its strength or storage. The sermorelin page has the dated listings.
That leaves the pharmacy as the maker of record. 6 of the 12 providers name a dispensing pharmacy with an active license; 6 don't, and each carries that Flag on its card. How we check explains what a named pharmacy has to show.
Storage follows the same rule as a vial: the pharmacy's label sets the temperature and the beyond-use date. Ask for both before the first order, since a tablet and a vial from one pharmacy can carry different instructions.
1 of the 12 passes all 4 checks and 8 pass 3; 3 pass fewer. On a list this short, one Flag is the whole difference between an A and a B, so read the chip that carries it before you rule a provider in or out.
The order is grade first, then name, and it never tracks price.
Standing monthly prices for the oral forms run from $100.38 to $299, with a median of $224 across 4 published figures. A year at the median is $2,688.
3 providers price the oral form and an injection side by side. At 2 the troche or tablet costs less, by up to $100 a month; 1 charges the same. bmiMD, Bodybuilding Health+, Eden, ElleS, Joi + Blokes, Nu Image Medical, System Labs and Try Ageless list an injection with no standing price, so there is nothing to set against them.
A lower monthly figure for a troche buys the form with no published human data. Whether that trade suits you is a question to settle with your prescriber, not with the price tag.
The lowest standing figure, $100.38, is on a B row. The lowest on an A row is PauseRx at $249.
EdgeRx prints a lower introductory or limited-time price next to the standing one. The card shows the standing rate.
Ask the provider what evidence it relies on for a troche or tablet, as opposed to the injection. A plain answer is a good sign.
Ask which baseline and follow-up measures are clinically appropriate. A hormone-marker change alone would not establish better sleep, energy, body composition or long-term health.
If the clinician recommends changing formulation or stopping treatment, ask how remaining supplies, follow-up charges and any prepaid commitment are handled.
Ask who compounds the tablets, how they should be stored and what their beyond-use date is.
