Privacy notice
Effective
Peptide CareView is a reading site. There are no accounts to create or purchases to make here. Optional tools use information you enter to calculate an estimate in your browser. This notice explains, in plain terms, the limited information we handle when you visit or write to us, and the choices you have. "Peptide CareView", "we" and "us" mean the people who run peptidecareview.com.
1. What we collect
When you read the site, we learn the kind of things most websites learn: which pages were viewed and for how long, the page or search that brought you here, general details about your browser and device, and an approximate location (such as a city or region) worked out from your IP address. Our hosting provider also keeps routine technical records of requests to the site so it can run and protect it, and we receive basic reports when a page breaks so we can fix it.
If you email us, we receive your address, any name you sign with and whatever you choose to write. Searches and filters you use on the site run inside your browser and aren't sent to us.
2. What we don't ask for
You do not need to send us health information to read the site. Optional calculator and checklist answers are processed locally and are not included in analytics events. We don't take payments; if you buy from a provider, you buy on that provider's own site. The site shows no ads and builds no advertising profile of you.
3. Analytics cookies and similar storage
We use Google Analytics to measure visits, page views, widget impressions and provider-link clicks. Events can identify the publication, page, provider, placement and anonymous experiment variant. They do not include calculator entries, checklist answers or the content of an email. Analytics is enabled on the public site; unpublished previews do not load its tag. Browser storage also remembers privacy choices and dismissed prompts. Cost-planner inputs and checklist choices remain in your browser session and are not submitted to us.
4. Turning analytics off
You can switch analytics off in the cookie notice. To change your mind later, choose Analytics settings in the footer of any page. When analytics is off, Google Analytics is instructed to stop analytics storage on your device, and the analytics cookies it already set are removed. Your choice is saved in your browser, so a different browser, a private window or clearing your site data will reset it. Google publishes its own privacy policy and an opt-out add-on for its analytics.
5. Global Privacy Control
A Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser counts as a request to opt out. Unless you have already made a choice here, analytics stays off before it can load, and you can still turn it on in Analytics settings if you'd like to. Do Not Track has no agreed meaning, so the site doesn't respond to it; GPC and the analytics setting are the controls we honor. A denied storage choice can still permit Google's limited cookieless measurement signals; it is not a promise that every network request stops.
6. Advertising and referral measurement
We do not sell email lists or health records, and we do not run targeted advertising pixels. Following an affiliate link involves referral attribution as explained below. Some privacy laws define sale or sharing broadly. You can use Analytics settings to deny optional analytics storage and contact us about rights that apply to your information. Choosing a provider link still requests that separate destination.
7. Who helps us run the site
We use a small number of service providers, such as our analytics, hosting and email providers, and their handling of information is governed by the services we use, their applicable terms and privacy notices. Apart from them, we would disclose information only if the law required it, to protect someone's safety or our legal rights, or as part of a transfer of the site, in which case this notice would keep applying.
8. Provider sites have their own policies
When you follow a link to a provider, you're on a site we don't control. That company's privacy policy and terms apply there, and it may set its own cookies, including one that notes you arrived from Peptide CareView. Please read a provider's policies before you give it personal or health information. The same applies to the government, journal and research sites we link to.
Affiliate attribution can pass a publication ID, provider name, source page, link position, placement and experiment variant to our referral service. That service and the provider may process IP addresses, browser information and click identifiers under their own policies. We receive referral and commission reports, which can include a conversion time, order value, status or amount earned; these are not clinical records. A privacy choice on this site does not change the separate provider's settings.
9. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this notice. Analytics data is deleted after a limited period, totals that can't identify anyone may be kept longer, and our host keeps its technical records only briefly. Emails are kept as long as it takes to handle them, and longer only when a record has to be kept, such as a correction or a legal notice.
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to the accounts behind it is limited to the people who run it. Collecting little is our main safeguard, but no system is perfectly secure.
10. Readers under 18
Peptide CareView is written for adults and isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us information, write to the privacy mailbox and we'll delete it.
11. Your privacy rights
A growing number of US states give residents rights over their personal information. Depending on where you live, these can include the right to learn what we hold about you, receive a copy, have it corrected or deleted, and opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling. Rather than sort readers by state, we offer these rights to every reader in the US, and we'll answer requests from readers elsewhere too.
To ask, write to the privacy mailbox or the data-requests address on our Contact page and tell us what you'd like. Because we don't keep accounts, we may need a detail or two to find information that relates to you, and we'll use it only for your request. An agent you've authorized may ask for you; we may ask for proof that you gave that permission. We'll reply within the time the law allows.
If we decline a request, we'll explain why, and you can appeal: reply to that answer with "Appeal" as the subject. If you're still unhappy after our answer, you can contact your state attorney general. Using any of these rights won't change how the site works for you.
12. Where information is handled
The site is hosted in the United States, and information about visits is processed there. If you read it from another country, your information will be handled under US law, which may differ from yours.
13. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top, and an important change will be described here. Using the site after an update means the revised notice applies.
14. How to reach us
Write to the privacy mailbox on our Contact page with any question about this notice or about information we may hold about you. We use these mailboxes for privacy requests and questions.
